Training Leads

Training can be a worry for any dog owner when you are looking to take your dog into open spaces for recall training and similar activities. A dog training lead is a fantastic way to take your pet out of the garden or house for training in a more open environment, while keeping them and other dogs and dog owners safe and secure.

The Training Lead

Long dog leads are designed specifically to help you train your dog in wide, open spaces while they remain secure. Often referred to as tracking lines, these leads are extra long, giving your dog more freedom to roam and explore their surroundings in a safe and conscientious way. A ring in the handle allows the lead to be halved in length if necessary, and a sturdy clip ensures that your dog is secure on its lead.

The Material

These training leads are hand spliced from top quality marine rope. The rope is light, durable and washable. We do not use any metal crimps, or simply melt the rope together. We provide a 1 year fair wear and tear guarantee.

The leads come in an array of colours, lengths and diameters to suit all needs.

Select the size and colour of the tracking line from the drop down boxes below. You can also upgrade the lead to include brass fittings by ticking the box below.

Additional Information

Some public spaces in UK have Public Space Protection Orders, which means, among other things, that a dog must be kept on a lead at all times or the owner may face prosecution. Additionally, you may face a serious fine or criminal charge if your dog is out of control and acting dangerously in a public place. It's important, especially when training, to keep your dog on a lead and under your control. A training lead is a great way to do this while allowing your dog to explore their surroundings and gain confidence in public spaces.
